You read that right, SEVENTY THOUSAND WOMEN. Making abortion illegal will not stop abortion. It will stop women from recieving safe, clean, legal abortions from qualified professionals. Illegalizing abortion kills women. Protesting abortion clinics kills women.Anti-Choicers claim to be "pro-life," pro who's life? The fetus' life? The life of the unborn child? Why not the life of the full grown, walking, talking, cognitive woman?What about the woman seeking an abortion because she has three children, and if she chooses to have another child that will mean less food for the children she alread has?What about the 19 year old college student who got date raped at a party?AntiChoicers constantly beg that we "think of the children" (let's not even get into the fact that a "fetus" and a "child" are not the same thing) but Pro Choicers chose to think of the women.My body, my rights.
